Are files uploaded?⌄
No. Images are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to the application server.
Is metadata removed?⌄
Exporting through the Canvas API usually strips most embedded metadata, such as EXIF and GPS data, but results may vary by browser and file format.
Which formats are supported?⌄
BgVanish accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP input. It currently exports transparent PNGs or PNGs with a solid background.
Does BgVanish support PNG to WebP or WebP to JPG?⌄
Not as active output formats yet. Additional formats will be introduced separately to avoid errors in browsers that do not support them.
