How we handle your data

BgVanish processes images on your device. The AI runtime and model are served with the application, and your selected images are not sent to our application server.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

1. Overview

BgVanish removes image backgrounds locally in your browser using AI segmentation and Canvas API rendering.

By default, selected images remain on your device and are not uploaded to an application backend.

2. Local Data

The app may store a small preference in browser storage when you dismiss the PWA installation prompt.

Generated PNG exports are created in your browser and saved only when you download them.

3. Metadata & EXIF

When an image is rendered through Canvas API and exported again, the browser usually strips most embedded metadata such as EXIF camera details and GPS location.

This is privacy-friendly, but it is not an absolute guarantee for every browser, file format, or future implementation. Verify exported files with a trusted metadata viewer if you handle sensitive images.

4. Technical Data

Hosting providers may process standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for security, troubleshooting, and operation.

5. Third Parties

The AI runtime and model files are served as application assets. The hosting provider may receive standard request metadata when your browser downloads those files.

6. Security

Use reasonable security practices and avoid opening sensitive images on devices or networks you do not trust.

7. Changes

Update this policy whenever the application changes how it loads models, stores preferences, processes files, or uses third-party services.

8. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact Nasution Corporation through the official support channel where you accessed BgVanish.
